Can a Backyard Cottage fit on a small Seattle lot?

According to Seattle’s backyard cottage ordinance, the minimum lot size is 4000 square feet to construct a dwelling unit in the backyard. That is welcome news to Seattle homeowners, many of whom live on lots of this size. By contrast, in Bellevue the minimum lot size is 13,500 for building ADUs. A 4000 SF lot is limited in the possible configuration for your retreat, studio, rental, etc., so we have pre-designed models for this lot type.
